Yavapai County, 9 foot skeleton
9 foot skeleton
INDIAN RUINS PROVIDE NEW CLUES TO LIFE
BY RALPH WILLIAMS
Arizona is a storehouse – albeit easily pried into – for artifacts that would tell us much about the civilization that preceded us by centuries if an organized program were launched.
Did you know the skeletal remains of a mammoth have been uncovered in Arizona?
Did you know that our own Yavapai County has given up a prehistoric camel?
Did you know that now buried in the Walnut Grove area of Yavapai is the skeleton of a man at least nine feet tall, with front teeth formed like grinding molars, and which never has been examined scientifically? It was dug up by a cowboy who immediately popped it back into its grave and re-covered it. But he says he could take anybody back to the site and reproduce it and probably others.
Arizona holds many wonders awaiting discovery.
