Whitley County Big Indian Creek

First I would like to point out the name “Big Indian Creek”. Research is needed to find out the origin of this name and what “big Indian” it refers to.

In the Whitley Township archives it is stated as a fact that the Mound Builders were a larger people that were not Indians. They were Caucasian in some instances, but you can read this for yourself.
