HOLYHEAD – NINE FEET TWO AND A HALF
A GIANT AT HOLYHEAD OVER NINE FEET IN HEIGHT.
A man of the great height of nine feet 2 and a half inches arrived by the mail train from Euston on Sunday afternoon and went on board the Royal Mail steamer amid much curiosity on the part of a large crowd who had evidently heard of his coming. So tall was he that he had to be careful not to strike the suspended lamps over the platform with his head. Sgt. Hughes of the Board of Trade who is 6ft 3in in height only reached to the giant’s watch-guard. The wife who accompanied him is a woman of 5ft 8in.
