Hempstead County, Prehistoric Giant
The county is named for Edward Hempstead, a delegate to the U.S. Congress from the Missouri Territory, which included present-day Arkansas at the time.
The skeleton of a Prehistoric Giant was dug up recently near Washington Arkansas.
