Girgenti Sicily 10’6″

The discovery was made by a Captain Allen in Spring of 1807, some miles from the Port of Girgenti, Sicily. When the bones were placed in proper position, the skeleton was measured by Captain Allen at 11 feet 4 inches Italian, which is 10 feet 6 inches English. The skull, with its jaws were about the dimensions of a 2 gallon bucket. The body and other giants were found in stone sarcophagi 170 feet below a sulfur mine.
