Catalina Island – Examining Giant teeth

Thousands of human teeth, once firmly installed in the jaws of ancient Indians of the Catalina Islands, are being being shown above to visitors by Professor Ralph Glidden, curator of the Catalina museum. The teeth were found in professor Glidden’s search for the temple of Chinigchinch, the sun-god of the Pumega Indians.

This article said nothing about giants, so i almost passed it by. There was something strange about the way Ralph Glidden was holding this particular piece. This tooth is nearly two fingers wide. Even the Denisova4 and Denisova8 molars are not even as wide as an adult male’s thumb-bone. Ralph Glidden is holding a whole box of giant molars, this is probably the largest in the thousands of examples.
