A few of the many giant tribes from the Past.

The Karankawa were strikingly tall, described as between six and seven feet (180–213 cm). They inhabited the Gulf Coast of Texas from Galveston Bay in the present-day Greater Houston area, then south toward Corpus Christi Bay. Port Neches immediately east of Port Neches Park, had been a Native American town for at least 1,500 years, at first of the Karankawa tribe, whose 7-foot skeletons were often found in the burial mounds there; and after 1650 of the Nacazils.

The Osage: The 19th-century painter George Catlin described the Osage as the tallest race of men in North America, either red or white skins; there being few indeed of the men at their full growth, who are less than six feet in stature, and very many of them six and a half, and others seven feet.

The Timucuan Indians stood 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall,

Present day:

the Watusi, the tallest people in the world. It has been said that these giants are born six feet tall, and when you walk among them you can believe it. Men towering seven FEET. . . These are the last of the 7 foot giants tribes of seven footers were common but not any more.
