Polk County – 7 and 1/2 Feet in height

A Giant’s Skeleton Unearthed.

ROCKMART, Ga., June 21.-The skeleton of a giant was exhumed by workmen at the lime quarry of Brow & Robinson, near Rockmart, yesterday. It measures 2 feet across the chest, 7 feet 18 inches in height, and arms and legs proportionately long. Teeth found near the skeleton, and supposed to belong to it, measured 14 inches in length. This skeleton was found in a cave, the mouth of which was covered with earth eight or ten feet deep.
