Victorian Era Prosthetic Arm

Made of steel with brass wrist mountings, this Victorian-age artificial arm articulates in many different ways. Part of the London Science Museum’s collection, the prosthetic arm was made in Europe around as early as 1840 possibly earlier. According to the museum, the elbow joint can be moved by releasing a spring and the fingers can curl up and also straighten down.​
