The GIANTS of Sierra Leone!!!

This is from Sierra Leone, Africa, many of these figurines were found in the diamond mines. Professor Pitoni from Sierra Leone was in charge over this dig when this artifact was found. It is a very, very hard stone.

Their local legends tell of legions of giants that roamed ruled over the area. With all the diamonds in the area you could see why this would be sought after real estate.

Here you can see the elephamt he was riding and the size comparison to the giant, or nephilm that rode it. Some state that this is a baby elephant this is false as baby elephants do not have tusks while the statue represents an adult. Some say that this is stylized, this is conjecture there is no case to be made that the sizes are not depicted accurately.

I like this piece soo much that i am thinking of replicating it for the Greater Ancestors World Museum.

update: You can now see the finished replica of the Sierra Leone Giant riding a full grown elephant completed, displayed and ready for public viewing. The quality is excellent in this piece its as good as viewing the original and you don’t have to travel out of the country for it.
